This experiment with social media APIs combines the functionality of Twitter with the concept of Yik Yak. Users interact with their feed in the traditional ways, but can also upvote and downvote tweets to influence the global "most popular" tweets. These most popular lists are unique to our app, but reflect data collected from every user globally.
